The Spernoc house
Why choose this establishment?
My great-grandmother's house welcomes you this summer for a wonderful vacation.
Located in the village, set back from the street and on the edge of wooded countryside, it's close to shops (supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, tobacconist's, etc.), the GR 34, the dunes and the beaches. All within easy walking distance!
The vast, light-filled T-shaped living room (53 m2), with its veranda and TV area, is particularly pleasant. Wooden table, rattan sofa, armchairs, granite fireplace. A French window on the veranda side gives access to the back garden (garden table and chairs, parasol). The kitchen is fully equipped and very functional (dishwasher, fridge-freezer, pyrolysis oven...). A bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine completes the first floor. Upstairs are a mezzanine, two large bedrooms, one with a 160cm bed, the other with a 140cm bed and a 90cm bed, and a bathroom with corner bath and WC. At the entrance, an airlock allows you to leave your shoes, beach gear and other belongings.
I've just renovated this house, using as many healthy, noble materials as possible: lime and eco-earth for the rendering, hemp for all the insulation, raw wood panelling, oiled original flooring, stained and oiled bathroom panelling... and incorporating salvaged materials: a beam from an old shack, a boat bench and wreck wood for the window sills... Atypical little touches that give it all its charm, in my opinion! Thank you for taking such good care of it!
Unenclosed garden, in 2 parts: "entrance" part in front of the house, rear part on the country side.
LPO garden, of course! I've already counted 20 species of birds...
Wi-Fi.
Dog: to be discussed with the owner
One car can be parked in the front garden entrance.
Welcome and departure by the owner.
The advantages of Porspoder and the surrounding area:
The wild side of this small seaside village! Preserved environment with its dunes and the St Laurent peninsula owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, with 4 beautiful beaches (not dangerous, for swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle...), shops: mini-market (7 days a week, 8am to 8pm), bakery, pastry shop, pharmacy, 2 crêperies, pizzeria, 2 restaurants, bar, tobacconist, newsagent, bike hire...
Within a 10 km radius: 3 sailing centers, 1 diving center, 1 surf/paddle club (famous surf spot), equestrian center, kayak rentals, sea fishing...
Departures for Ouessant Molène from Le Conquet or L'Aber Ildut, Europe's leading seaweed harbor, 5 km from Porspoder.
Between Porspoder and Ploudalmézeau: the Côte des Légendes tourist route, not to be missed!
In Brest: visit the Château, the Musée de la Marine, Océanopolis...
