Leaving from Le Conquet

Located 30 minutes by boat from Molène, and 1h15 from Ouessant, the port of Le Conquet is the main departure port for these islands. This proximity means holidaymakers can leave for the day. Lhe Compagnie maritime Penn Ar Bed offers daily departures all year round. The Finist'mer company deploys its boats from May to October. Sea excursions are also available, including a stopover of a few hours on the island of Molène(Archipel Excursions, Finist'mer Excursions, Baladedans le Parc Marin).

Two shipping companies serve the islands of Molène and Ouessant from the port of Le Conquet. Sailing trips including a stopover on Molène Island are also available.

Before taking the boat

A few tips

We strongly advise you to plan your getaway to the islands in advance: 

  • Book your crossing directly with Penn ar Bed, Finist'mer or with our advisors at one of our tourist information offices. 
  • If you'd like to visit Ushant by bike or minibus, remember to book these services before confirming your boat trip.
  • Plan to arrive in Le Conquet 1.5 hours before the boat's departure to park your vehicle, get to the ferry terminal and check in (45 min before departure). Some parking lots offer a reservation system. A drop-off point is available near the ferry terminal.
  • Pick up your boarding passes at the company ticket office or at the kiosks at the ferry terminal.

Parking in Le Conquet

During a stay on the islands

To keep the town accessible and pleasant for all, parking in Le Conquet is limited to 2 or 4 hours. (blue zone with compulsory blue disc display). Beyond this time, several parking lots are available for island travelers.


Parking ANC Le Conquet
Parking lots: parking for one day or more
  • Le Parking de la Tour d'Auvergnelocated on rue de la Tour d'Auvergne, a 20-minute walk from the landing stage, offers 100 spaces. Reservations are required.
  • Parking ANC (35 spaces) is located on rue Poul Conq, a 30-minute walk from the pier. Reservations required. From June to September.
  • Parking La Grange, place Charles Menguy, offers 10 spaces, 8 minutes' walk from the landing stage. Reservations required.
  • If you're spending the night at the Blancs-Sablons campsite, a 30-minute walk from the pier, you can leave your car there for the duration of your island getaway, at a garage-dead rate.
  • When all paid parking lots are full, the salle omnisport parking lot at impasse John Fitzerald Kennedy is made available to travellers for the islands.

Are the parking lots full?

No need to panic

Head for the salle omnisport parking lot, Impasse John Fitzgerald Kennedy [limited to 24 hours]. In agreement with the municipal police, when Le Conquet's paying parking lots are full, it is possible to park in this one. This parking lot is in the blue zone [limited to 4h] the rest of the time. Allow half an hour's walk to the ferry terminal.

Parking your motorhome in Le Conquet

During a stay on the islands

Travelling by motorhome and looking to spend one or more days on an island? In Le Conquet, there are several parking solutions available to you.

A sunny walk in Le Conquet
Camper parks: parking for one day or more
  • Parking ANC welcomes motorhomes for a minimum of three days, subject to reservation (preferably 15 days before departure). It is a 30-minute walk from the pier. From June to September.
  • Camping des Blancs Sablons is open from early April to late September. To benefit from the garage-dead rate, an overnight stay is required. The campsite is a 30-minute walk from the pier.
  • The Parking des îles welcomes motorhomes free of charge, no reservation, no shuttle service (conditions 2024). It is located behind the Le Conquet police station.
  • In the event of overcrowding, the Mairie provides a parking lot on rue Winston Churchill, above the Salle Omnisports (free parking without reservation).

What about the Tissier parking lot?

The Tissier parking lot, which has a service area, is located in the blue zone. Motorhomes can stay overnight in both summer and winter, but parking is limited to 4 hours during the day.

Bed & Breakfast, Inns, Hotels.... There are several ways to discover the charming port of Le Conquet before setting sail. B&Bs often offer transport to the port. If they don't have a private parking space, they offer a badge for unlimited parking in the 4-hour zones.

We recommend that you contact Le Conquet town hall to find out the best route through the town for your coach size. You will also be allocated a parking area for the day. You won't be able to park your coach at the port.
