The Lighthouse Route

An incredible ride!

There are more than 20 lighthouses on the Finistère coast, each unique, and together they form the Route de Phares de Brest terres océanes. Among them is Europe's highest lighthouse, located in the Pays des Abers. The lighthouse is accessible by boat, kayak and on foot during high tides. Are you ready to climb its 365 steps?

Step back in time at Meneham

On the path of legends

The Meneham site in Kerlouan, on the edge of the La Littorale (or V45) cycle route and the GR®34, is a must-see on Finistère's north coast. 

This unique village of thatched cottages nestled among the rocks is home to numerous events, a gîte and craft stores.

The famous GR®34, or sentier des douaniers, criss-crosses the entire Brittany coast. It's one of France's favorite hiking trails. 

A stopover on the Crozon peninsula is a must )for its exceptional panoramic views as far as the eye can see and the Vauban tower, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Hike or mountain bike to its highest point for an exceptional panorama: a 360-degree view of the Breton moors, the Brest roadstead and the Armorique Regional Nature Park.

A brilliant idea!

The lighthouse island of Ouessant has 5. Take a guided tour and visit the Lighthouses and Beacons Museum to learn all about lighthouses: history, operation, anecdotes... Pedal to the Pointe de Pern at dusk to watch them being lit.
