Why take advantage?

Located at the tip of the peninsula of the same name (which is classified and managed by the Conservatoire du littoral), renowned for its beautiful walks, the Kermorvan lighthouse is a privileged spot offering a breathtaking view of the Iroise Sea. Once you've climbed the 77 steps, a superb panorama of the port of Le Conquet, Pointe Saint-Mathieu, the islands and the Trézien lighthouse will unfold before you.

The lighthouse is 20.35 metres high. The rotating optical assembly produces a steady white flash every 5 seconds. It has a range of 22 miles (approx. 40km).

It is aligned with the Lochrist, Trézien and Saint-Mathieu lighthouses, and indicates the Helle and Four channels. It was commissioned in 1849 under the direction of engineer Louis Plantier.

At the time, its square-shaped tower was quite original compared with other lighthouses on the coast. It was the second lighthouse of this type to be built in Finistère, after the Île Noire lighthouse, commissioned in 1845 at the mouth of the Morlaix river.
