Changing years in Iroise
L’Iroise, c’est l’extrémité de la Bretagne, la pointe la plus à l’ouest où les soirées offrent de magnifiques couchers de soleil. Nous avons choisi cette terre ouverte sur le grand large pour bien commencer 2025. Au programme de ces vacances en famille : randonnée sur le sentier côtier pour admirer les vagues et sentir les embruns, visite du phare de Saint-Mathieu qui illumine les longues nuits de décembre, marché de Noël et festivités à la rencontre des habitants. La météo ? Elle nous donne souvent raison : nous adorons l’Iroise « hors saison » !!!

Lighthouses at the end of the world
Plusieurs tours de granite sécurisent la navigation en mer d’Iroise depuis plus d’un siècle et pour les découvrir, nous empruntons longeons le littoral de Plougonvelin à Plouarzel. Au phare de Saint-Mathieu, une visite commentée est proposée. En haut des marches, le panorama est sensationnel. En plus, on nous dévoile l’histoire et le fonctionnement de ces vigies solides comme des rocs !

Saint-Mathieu Lighthouse Night
Facing the most illuminated sea in the world, a night-time visit to the Saint-Mathieu lighthouse is a privileged opportunity to appreciate the ballet of beams and the vital role played by lighthouses at night. On Boxing Day, let's bet on a sky studded with stars. 30 minutes of enchantment!

Pink, mauve and orange invade the sky at dusk. The spectacle is even more beautiful at the water's edge, when these colors are reflected as if in a mirror. You'll find it all along the coast, in Lanildut, Porspoder and the Kermorvan peninsula, for example.

- Apprendre à surfer, oui ! Nous avons osé réaliser ce rêve en hiver. De toute façon, ici, on porte la combi toute l’année. 🙂
- Rendez-vous sur le GR® 34 pour de belles randonnées : c’est le lieu rêvé pour admirer les vagues, respirer l’air iodé et vibrer de la tête aux pieds.

Christmas markets are the perfect opportunity to discover these creations, with shows and entertainment for children.

On New Year's Eve, we treat ourselves to a table at a Michelin-starred restaurant. On the menu: scallop carpaccio, capon fermier, chestnut emulsion, and snowball dessert... These vacations awaken all our senses! During these few days, you'll have the chance to discover some of Finistère's more popular dishes, such as Kig ha farz, and to enjoy a hot chocolate snack served with a golden crêpe.
